An international stage for tea quality
On 19 December 2026, Milan will host the 1st World Tea Competition 2026, bringing together teas from different origins and giving tea producers an opportunity to showcase their products on an international stage.
The competition is organised by the International Tea Industry Confederation (ITIC), with the support of the Tea Industry Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation and hosted in Italy by the Italy Tea & Infusions Association (AssoTè Infusi).
The competition aims to recognise tea quality, promote excellence across the industry, and encourage international exchange and cooperation.
International Tea Tasting Panel & Evaluation Method
Tea samples will be assessed by professional tea tasters from tea-producing and tea-consuming countries. The international panel will evaluate each sample against the competition’s criteria for its tea category.
